Samsung seems to planning to launch the successor to its 2011 smartphone Galaxy XCover at Mobile World Congress next month. According to a report in Sammobile, Samsung Galaxy XCover 2 GT-S7710 will be a rugged smartphone similar to the predecessor.
The report further adds that Galaxy XCover 2 will come with 4-inch TFT display with 840x480p resolution, 5MP rear camera, 0.3MP front camera and Jelly Bean. The smartphone will also feature 4GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 1,700 mAh battery and the usual connectivity options.
The X Cover 2 is expected to be launched in two colours Titan Gray and Black/Red and will be dust and water-resistant. There is no word on the processor in the smartphone
There is no word on the pricing or exact release date, but considering that it looks more like a mid-range smartphone, the pricing is expected to be similar.
