Playing in domed stadiums has posed one of the few problems for the 49ers this season. On Sunday, they get another chance to show that they are built for any and all conditions.
The 49ers are 1-2 in games played indoors, with losses against the Minnesota Vikings and St. Louis Rams and a victory over the New Orleans Saints.
"There are definitely things we're working on to try and improve to be a better team in that regard," Harbaugh said. "So hopefully we can be better this time than we were the last and learn from what mistakes we did make."
The Georgia Dome isn't regarded as one of the tougher indoor facilities to play. Even so, the 49ers are pumping in crowd noise during practice as a means of helping

the players get accustomed to what awaits."Domes are always loud," said free safety Dashon Goldson, who recalled playing at the Georgia Dome once before as an NFL player. "The atmosphere is a little compact. This is going to be a challenge for us."
The Falcons committed a league-low 55 penalties for a league-low 415 yards during the regular season. The 49ers were penalized the seventh-most (109) for the fifth-most yards (960).
"A generalization would be is, it's a well-coach, disciplined football team," Harbaugh said.
To that end, he said, there's a built-in response:
"We have to understand that the next game's the most important game on the schedule, and doesn't affect if people are saying good things about you, what you need to do. Our advice has always been, if people are saying nice things about you, kick 'em on the shins and get back to work."
