Mayor Timothy E. O'Brien, Commission Chairman Angelo D'Alfonso and Commission Vice Chairman Patrick Dorsey announced today that the New Britain Parks & Recreation Department is now accepting applications for 2013 Summer Employment.The department is looking to hire summer staff in four areas: Aquatics, Summer Camps, Specialty Program Instructors, and Parking & Concessions. Aquatics positions include Pool Managers, Swim Instructors, and Lifeguards. Summer Camp positions include Site Supervisors, Assistant Site Supervisors, and Group Leaders. Specialty Program Instructors include Cheerleading, Dance, Tennis, and Theatre instructors. Parking & Concessions positions include Parking Supervisors, Parking Attendants, Concession Attendants, and Terrific Toys Operators.
Candidates must complete and turn in an employment application and supplemental questions. Candidates must also signup for and take a summer employment test (dates supplied in the application packet). A letter of recommendation must also accompany all applications.
