Human Resources Director | Bert Davis

Global information provider seeks a Human Resources Director to oversee HR strategy, planning, and execution for one of its leading professional divisions. The HR Director will be a senior-level leader and business partner, with full HR generalist responsibilities for the division. He/she will participate in business unit strategy development and decision-making, coordinate human capital planning and budgeting, oversee the implementation and management of corporate HR programs and initiatives, and ensure compliance with HR-related laws, regulations, and policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with senior HR leaders and divisional management to develop and implement divisional HR strategy. Provide HR leadership, direction, and coaching to the division?s executive team to achieve business objectives.
  • Direct overall employee relations initiatives that drive employee satisfaction and engagement. Implement HR policies and practices in the business, consistent with corporate guidelines.
  • Provide leadership, direction, coaching, and development to the divisional HR team to ensure outstanding HR performance and talent management. Provide advice and counsel regarding complex HR issues.
  • Drive a performance culture by providing performance management support and training to employees and management, including goal setting, evaluation, feedback, coaching, and development planning.
  • Provide coaching and management of talent development and succession plans as well as any disciplinary plans. Manage employee relations issues.
  • Assess the division?s human capital relative to business strategy, industry, and marketplace; forecast future competency needs; establish plans to develop, recruit, or outsource needed capability in advance of needs.
  • Manage talent acquisition and development. Manage divisional recruitment and hiring.

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 of HR generalist experience, with solid background in change management, HR strategic planning, project management, and shared services.
  • Bachelor?s degree required; Master?s degree and/or SPHR preferred.
  • Demonstrated fast track HR career progress.
  • Outstanding leadership, communications, teamwork, and business management skills. Must be able to work collaboratively in a matrix environment.
  • Proven track record of driving significant change successfully in a business.
  • Superb interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior management while maintaining strong relationships.
  • Must have expertise in HR compliance performance management, recruiting and hiring best practices, compensation and benefits administration, and employee relations.
  • Must have staff management experience.
