Tasty Garlic Cheese Bread Recipe | Food & Drink

You are here: Home / Recipes / Tasty Garlic Cheese Bread Recipe

I was out to dinner lately at a local Italian family bistro. There was something so nice about their garlic toast, I had to ask the server if the cook would tell me how they made it. The server giggled, and replied that there?s no way her Dad would be willing to share his secret garlic cheese bread recipe. That sparked my hunt for an authentic garlic cheese bread recipe. I tried many variations but they were all missing something. Then, it hit me. It isn?t so much about the ingredients as it is about the preparation. The ingredients here are easy and of course you?re free to slightly modify them as you see fit, but pay close attention to the preparation instructions, as it is what makes an exceedingly special garlic cheese bread recipe .

Ingredients(Make substitutions if you would like.)

1 medium size loaf of Bread

2 tbsp butter

Two tsp garlic powder

One tsp parsley

One (1) tsp oregano

1 tsp basil

Quarter (1/4) cup Parmesan cheese

Half (1/2) cup Havarti cheese

1/4 cup blue cheese

Preparation Methods

Preheat your stove to as hot as it can go (Maximum of 550F. If it doesn?t go that high, that is okay, just max it out.)

Cut your bread into four equal pieces and then lay them flat.

Spread the butter across each piece of bread equally. You can decide to use more butter, or less butter based on your preferences.

Microwave the buttered bread for 15 seconds. No longer than this! This may melt the butter and keep the bread soft on the inside, even though it gets toasty and crispy on the outside.

Now evenly share the cheese across every part of bread, top the cheese with garlic powder and your seasoning herbs.

Place the bread in the pre heated cooker for about ten minutes. Dependent on the heat of your cooker, it could take a bit more time or maybe even a bit less.

Once the cheese is bubbling around the edges, then it?s time to remove the bread from the oven, and serve it hot.

There you have it, a simple but restaurant-style garlic cheese bread recipe you can prepare at home that?s always basically a great snack for everyone while watching your favorite films. Then next time I dined in the Italian restaurant, I asked the server if I had worked it out, she just giggled and recounted ?Shhhh!!! ?.
