Twilio (http://www.twilio.com/) today announced that they have sold out their inaugural TwilioCon event, a new two-day conference created by the company to bring together entrepreneurs, developers and technology enthusiasts. They have also announced some of the speakers who will take the stage at the Bentley Reserve on September 21-22, 2011. TwilioCon will bring together the creators of Twilio-powered businesses, technology experts and business leaders for two days of intense learning and fun, including a hackathon, one-on-one access to Twilio product teams, fabulous food and drink from local San Francisco vendors, and of course the requisite conference after-party. As of today, the conference is at capacity.

Prominent industry dealmaker, Ron Conway, will be a featured speaker, as well as angel investor Dave McClure. Other speakers and moderators on the agenda include former Pixar CTO Oren Jacob, reporters Jolie O?Dell of VentureBeat, Alastair Goldfisher of Thomson Reuters and Matt Rosoff of Business Insider, as well as up-and-coming developers such as Kevin Whinnery from Appcelerator and Ian Hunter from Zaarly. Twilio?s own CEO, Jeff Lawson, will also deliver a high-energy keynote presentation geared towards the inventive, curious, tech savvy audience that will be in attendance.

Mr. Lawson co-founded Twilio in 2008 and has served as the company?s CEO since day one. A graduate from the University of Michigan, he has more than ten years of entrepreneurial experience under his belt. He served as one of the first product managers for Amazon Web Services, and has held founding executive roles for Nine Star, Stubhub.com, and Versity.com.
Ron Conway, an active angel investor with a passion for business and philanthropy, will take the stage at TwilioCon. Recently named #6 in Forbes Magazine?s list of top ?deal-makers?, Conway was the Founder and Managing Partner of the Angel Investors LP funds (1998-2005) whose investments included: Google, Ask Jeeves, PayPal, Good Technology, Opsware, and Brightmail. Also an investor in Twilio, Conway is often described as ??the man who has placed more bets on Internet start-ups than anyone else in Silicon Valley?. He was featured in Gary Rivlin?s book, The Godfather of Silicon Valley: Ron Conway, and The Fall of the Dot-coms.
Closing out the keynote lineup will be Dave McClure, an angel investor and founding partner at 500 Startups, an Internet seed fund and startup incubator. McClure has been active in the Silicon Valley tech scene for 20 years as an investor, a software developer, entrepreneur, and tech blogger. He is sure to captivate the audience with his ?chic geek? personality and vision for creating new Internet startups. His specialty is helping startups improve product and marketing efforts by emphasizing customer development, an iterative approach, and the collection and measurement of simple, actionable metrics.
